Light Moves Straight

Do you know, how the light moves from one place to another, is it straight or curve? 

To answer that qusestion, you need to do the following experiment.

Tool and Materials that you need:

1. a piece of carton
2. a flashlight
3. a string

The steps:

1. Prepare the flashlight, string, and thick carton on the table.
2. Make three qual supports that shape rectangular made of thick carton, and then in the middle of the carton is made a small hole.
3. Put one of the cartons on the table, then turn on the flashlight, take a look by yourself on the screen. Is there light coming out the carton? In what shape is the light?
4. Put the second caton at the back of first carton, arrange the seco, ind carton's position until the light is coming out of the second carton, is also coming out of the second carton.
5. Then put the third carton just like the one that you did on the second carton.
6. When the light can go through all three holes, pull a string on the cartons. What s the shape of the string? Is itforming a straight line or not? 
   What can you prove from this experiment?

Ligthouse Tower

The ry produced by a lighthouse shows tht the light moves in a straight line. A lighthouse is a tower that is built on the beach, in a small island in the middle of the sea, Lighthouse produce a ray as a sign at night to assist navigation.

Explanation for You

If you observe the above experiment, you will see a string forming a straight line. The string can tell you that the light coming out from the first carton until the third  carton is forming a straight line. The light that is shown is known as the beam of light (ray).
